Honor doesn’t win Ranked matches. Timing does. The most effective way to get kills in Free Fire is Third-Partying (attacking two squads that are already fighting each other).
They are distracted. They are low on health. They have used their Gloo Walls. You arrive fresh and clean up both teams. But if you do it wrong, you get “Sandwiched” (stuck in the middle). This guide teaches you the art of the clean-up.
1. The Audio Cue
You hear gunshots (North 15). Check the kill feed (Top right).
- Scenario A: M1887 vs MP40 sounds. This is a close-range fight. It will be over in 10 seconds. You need to rush NOW if you want to catch them.
- Scenario B: AWM vs SCAR sounds. Long-range poke fight. This will last longer. You have time to flank.
Wait for the “Knock” notification in the kill feed. That is your green light. One player is down, the others are panicking or reviving.

2. Positioning: Never Rush the Middle
The Rookie Mistake: Running straight into the middle of the two fighting squads. Now both of them shoot you.
The Pro Move: Flank to the side. Form a triangle. You want to be in a position where you can shoot Squad A’s back while they look at Squad B. Never put yourself in the crossfire.
3. Who to Shoot First?
This is critical strategy.
- Do NOT shoot the knocked guy. Shoot the guy who is still standing/fighting. If you kill the active threat, you can kill the knocked guy later.
- Prioritize the Winner: If Squad A is winning (pushing), shoot Squad A. If you shoot the losing team, Squad A finishes them and turns on you full strength. Help the losers weaken the winners, then kill the winners.
4. The “Vulture” Looting Rule
After you wipe both squads, there will be 5-6 loot boxes. DO NOT LOOT IMMEDIATELY.
Gunshots attract vultures. Just like you third-partied them, a fourth squad is coming to third-party you. Heal first. Repair your vest. Reload. Check your surroundings. Throw a Gloo Wall around the loot box before opening it. Greed kills.
5. Character Synergy
For third-partying, Rafael and Wukong are S-Tier.
- Rafael: Silencer means they don’t know where the third party is coming from.
- Wukong: If you get spotted, turn into a bush. They will go back to fighting each other, ignoring the bush.

Fair fights are for Custom Rooms. In Battle Royale, play dirty. Let them waste their ammo and Gloo Walls. Be the shark that smells blood. Third-partying is the smartest way to reach Grandmaster with a high K/D.
